Last summer I got double booked for a doctor’s appointment and mine was cancelled while I was sitting in the waiting room. Typically this would be very frustrating, but since there was a Half Price Books down the street I wasn’t too upset!
During that trip to HPB I stumbled upon an edition of Sense and Sensibility that I fell in love with. I was intrigued by the “Classic Lines” written on the spine and I had to know more. I went home to look up what other books came in this edition and I began my attempt to track them down. It wasn’t easy and was often frustrating as damaged or incorrect editions would arrive, but I eventually managed to collect all six titles in good condition.
I adore watercolor and between the paintings on the cover and the beautiful pastel colors on the spines, I was sold on these. The cover art is done by Sara Singh and there is a note at the front of the books from her talking about the inspiration behind the paintings. There is also an iconic quote from each book on the back cover, which I love!

NOTE: As I mentioned before, even though I checked the ISBNs and condition of the book in the listings, a few came not as described. I only had one instance of a seller who was difficult about not refunding me. The links above are for the ISBNs of these editions, but please make sure to confirm on your own and, of course, I can’t guarantee the correct editions will arrive. I had the best luck tracking these down online at AbeBooks, Amazon, and even one on Ebay. These can go for quite a bit of money, but I don’t believe I spent any more than I would for a typical paperback on these. It may just take some patience!
