Hi Friend and welcome to Idlewild Reads; I’m glad you are here! My name is Kayla and I’m a book loving, coffee drinking and travel addicted reader.
I don’t remember when I became such an avid reader, because I think it was always a part of me. The power of a good book is something I appreciated from a young age. My parents talk about how I would read whenever possible, even while brushing my teeth. As I got older I went through phases where I read less, but when I picked up a good book again I remembered the wonderful magic that happens when you enter into a good story. In the last few years my love of books seems to have grown even more and I can’t get enough- reading them, collecting them and talking about them. This led to me starting a bookstagram account and then on to creating this blog.
This is a space for me to share book reviews, collections, and probably a few travel related items as well.
