Hate to Love Romance

Hate to Love Romance.

Once upon a time… I did NOT like hate to love books. That was pretty much an immediate pass for me. Then I joined bookstagram and saw so many people gushing about how it’s their favorite trope. I figured I just might have been reading the wrong books. Turns out I was correct on that one.

There are still times I start and have to DNF an enemies to lovers romance because they feel too overdone, but there are some really fun ones too. Here are some of my favorites I’ve read this year…

Well Met by Jen DeLuca

Well Met Jen DeLuca

This hate to love rom-com is set against the local Renaissance Faire. Emily is in town to help out her sister, whose recovering from an accident. She gets roped into volunteering at the Faire in her place. What’s worse is having to deal with the know-it-all in charge, Simon, who she can’t stand. Well we know that won’t last…

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne

The Hating Game Sally Thorne

Lucy Hutton is kind, fun, and easy going. Joshua Templeman is abrasive, uptight, and feared. The two hate each other. Lucy and Josh are forced to work together daily as executive assistants to co-CEOs of a publishing company, Bexley & Gamin. Their feud should ramp up when a promotion becomes available, but instead Lucy starts realizing maybe there’s more to Josh than she originally thought. Maybe she doesn’t actually hate him…

The Simple Wild by K.A. Tucker

The Simple Wild K.A. Tucker

Calla flies to Alaska to visit the father she barely knows. She is all city girl and is counting down the days to go back home. It doesn’t take too long though for Calla to realize that maybe she needs to give this place and her father a chance. She even starts coming around to the Jonah, the obnoxious bush pilot who challenges her at every chance he can.

The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren

When Olive’s twin sister gets food poisoning at her own wedding, she convinces Olive to take her honeymoon trip to Hawaii. Olive was one of two guests who escaped getting sick, unfortunately the other is Ethan, who she can’t stand. They agree to go on the trip together, but to keep their distance. Once they arrive they realize this may be harder than they first planned, but… maybe that’s not so bad.
